Lisa Plackner, Leah Wahlberg, and Alison Schloesser designed a course called Parenting with Pride in the hope that we could provide skills and support to families in building and maintaining positive relationships at home.  A  "pro" for our class, according to the attendees, is the fact that a meal is provided each week.  Families eat together, and then split for parent learning, and child learning/activities before coming back together for parents to practice their new learning.

Braver Angels (formerly Better Angels) is a New York-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to political depolarization. The organization runs workshops, debates, and other events where "red" (conservative) and "blue" (liberal) participants attempt to better understand one another's positions and discover their shared values

The organization states that it is the "largest, grassroots, bipartisan organization in America dedicated to reviving the communal spirit of American democracy."As noted by Cavendish, they say that their "method involves bringing politically diverse people together in small groups to listen empathetically to each others' perspectives."

At ENGin, we believe that authentic English-language connection across borders changes lives. Our program connects English-speaking volunteers with English learners abroad for weekly videochat conversations. In just 1 hour a week, our volunteers make a huge impact - helping their students break the language barrier, offering friendship and emotional support, and introducing them to a new culture.

North Star Youth Exchange encompasses two Rotary districts (5950 and 5960), which are large geographical areas in south-central Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. The area includes the entire Twin Cities metropolitan area, Rochester, St. Cloud, and Mankato (Duluth is part of the Central States Rotary Youth Exchange program). The outer part of our districts includes Albert Lea, Hayward, WI, Alexandria, and Redwood Falls.

Throughout this area, local Rotary clubs provide this international opportunity to eager, ambitious, and inquisitive high school students — both to come to our area to experience American life, or to go abroad to one of over 30 countries around the world.
